December 2010

The holidays are quickly approaching, and the Christmas shopping season is in full gear! Things at JennJill Designs are also pretty crazy (the Christmas rush means that my husband and I have yet to decorate our house for the season), but I hope you have found some time to relax during the hustle and bustle and remember the true reason for the season!

A lot is going on at JennJill Designs, and exciting things are happening. Here’s this month’s update:

Upcoming Event: Craft Fair, Dec. 18

JennJill Designs will be participating in a fundraiser and Christmas craft fair for 1-Eighty Ministries, a Christian non-profit organization in Lebanon, OH. The event will include over 40 vendors, a silent auction, kids’ crafts, and free photos with Santa. CLICK HERE for more information.

Christmas Delivery Deadline

Last-minute shopping is all well and good, but since all JennJill Designs items are hand-crafted and many of them are made-to-order, last-minute won’t work so well if you want Christmas delivery! For those special gifts and must-have items, be sure to order them on or before December 15 if you want to be guaranteed to have the item by Christmas morn. CLICK HERE to start shopping.

Holiday Coupon Code

I value each and every one of my customers and newsletter recipients. As my way of saying “Thanks for your support!”, I’ve enabled a Christmas coupon code for all online purchases.

To receive 5% off of your entire December order, enter the coupon code Dec2010 during the checkout process. But hurry! The coupon expires at midnight Dec. 31. CLICK HERE to use the coupon right now!

Millefiori

Have you looked at the JennJill Designs Decorated Cross Ornament or Blue & White Millefiori Necklace or examined the delicate leaf on the Personalized Teacher’s Ornament and thought, “How did she do that?”

Here’s the answer: millefiori, an ancient technique of glass-making that has become popular among polymer clay artists. CLICK HERE to read Jennifer’s description of how she makes millefiori canes out of clay and why she enjoys working with millefiori so much.

And the winner is …

Those who stopped by the JennJill Designs booth at the Cheviot United Methodist Church Holiday Market on Nov. 29 had the opportunity to enter a drawing for a FREE personalized JennJill Designs ornament. Juanita Woodburn was the lucky winner this time, but never fear – you’ll get your chance! Jennifer is planning to offer a giveaway at all her craft fairs (including the one on Dec. 18), so stay tuned to the newsletter for upcoming craft fairs where you’ll be able to find the JennJill Designs line of elegantly crafted goods.

Into the New Year

Once the dust has settled from the Christmas rush, Jennifer will be able to fully develop her line of Quilted Accessories, which she hopes to have available online by early February. Last month, you read a bit about the types of items Jennifer will include in this product line (CLICK HERE to read that article if you missed it). This month, you can see some of her preliminary design sketches for one item in this product line – an e-reader case. CLICK HERE to find out more.

That’s it for this month. We’ll be back next month with more news and interesting tidbits from JennJill Designs. May God bless you and yours with a wonderfully happy and healthy Christmas and New Year!
