From Caterpillar to Butterfly

The inspirational symbolism of butterflies plays an important role in my creative process and, therefore, in JennJill Designs. The powerful symbolism of the transformation from caterpillar to elegant flight has always fascinated me. Cincinnati’s Krohn Conservatory has a butterfly show each year, and I always volunteer simply for the chance to be around these marvelous creatures. The awe and wonder on the children’s faces as they walk through the show is not to be missed! The logo for JennJill Designs, that of two hands connected by a butterfly, was designed based on a photo (below) my husband took at the 2008 Krohn Conservatory Butterfly Show, as I passed a butterfly that was resting on my hand to the hand of a young girl who was there to see the show.
